Water Retrieval made Fun with your Pet Water Toys
Pet water toys are great for fun, training and exercising.
If you have a water-loving breed, such as a
Retriever
, and
you live near the beach, lake, or local dog park, this can
be fun for you both.
Your dog, water, and a ball. What could
be more fun? If you have a retriever, this game is instinctive.
All you have to do is throw the ball in the water.
Although I mention Retrievers, there
are many dogs that love the water.
While having fun in the
water, your pet will be learning from you and getting
plenty of exercise with his toys. This is a great way for your dog to get plenty of exercise in the summer when it's to hot to do anything else. Swimming is also the best exercise for your older
arthritis symptom dogs.
An
aspirin for your dog
may help your older pet.
If you’re at the beach, watch out for strong tides, and
don’t let your dog drink saltwater.
Incidentally, if you take your dog to the beach, you should
always bring along fresh water and shade. Dogs can get sunburned, and have a
heatstroke.
There are many different types and color pet dog toys to chose from today.
From Extra Large Cool Kong toys, to a Extreme Bone Tug Dog Toy, to your H20 ball and
flying disk .
These toys are great for playing a
game of fetch in the water because they float! Most pet water toys also retain scents, so they can be used
as a training device.
They're made specifically for fun, fetching, training and
exercising in and around water. Their bright contrasting
colors make them easy to locate, and their soft durable
material make it safe and easy for your pet to grab and
catch. Most of these toys are even soft enough for indoor
play during those cold winter months!
But remember to play it safe, and keep a
Outward Hound Life Jacket
on your dog at all times!
These pet water toys will hold up well for their intended use but
should not be left unattended with your pet.
It's always a good idea to supervise your pet during play. Not only will this minimize the chance of accidents happening, but you'll also be providing your pet with quality time spent with their favorite toy - YOU!
Some pet water toys are not recommended as chew or tug toys.
Shredded pieces can cause
intestinal obstruction
if ingested.
